Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

Literature suggests that EQ may be a better predictor of effective leadership and success in both work and personal lives than IQ. This is because a person’s ability to perceive, identify and manage emotions provides the basis for the social and emotional competencies that are important for success in almost all jobs.

This workshop provides an overview for developing EQ capabilities and why these competencies contribute to personal and organisational success. Participants discover how to make their emotions work for them by using them to guide their behaviour and thinking in ways that enhance their own and their organisation’s performance.

In this session we will explore:
  • What is Emotional Intelligence?
  • Own levels of Emotional Intelligence
  • The four domains of Emotional Intelligence and their impact on working lives
  • Creating a personal development action plan
