Remote Workforce Community of Practice

Working in a remote location can be exciting and brings many opportunities for professional and personal growth. It can also be isolating and presents a unique range of challenges. The Remote Workforce Community of Practice brings a small group of remote workers together in a virtual space to discuss common challenges in a supportive and safe environment. An experienced facilitator hosts the group, supporting the building of relationships, solution focused conversation and referral.

Each webinar includes a presentation and case studies on topics of interest followed by 30 minutes of facilitated conversation. The topics covered are those identified by EASA as most likely to impact remote workers in the Northern Territory.

Personal and Professional Boundaries: Discusses how to manage the potential blurring of personal and professional boundaries that may occur in remote locations where overlap in roles can be more common.

Working with Challenging Behaviour: Discusses how to manage the common types of challenging behaviours that remote workers experience.

Workload: Discusses common workload issues that arise in remote work and steps to manage them.

Identifying and Managing Burnout: Discusses burnout, the signs and symptoms as well as when and how to seek support.
